A suffocating marriage. A journey across the globe for a new beginning?

1974. Grieving for her stillborn son and unwilling to settle for a half-life with a husband she no longer loves, Tayte Murdoch makes a bold decision. Sensing fresh opportunities in New Zealand for her teaching career, she arrives at Brynleith, the sheep station owned by a distant uncle. Instantly comfortable with Adam Leith and absorbed by working at a local school and helping archive the history of Brynleith, Tayte quickly settles into her new life.

Then she stumbles upon an old bushman and his charge, Boy, a seemingly intellectually challenged, but artistically gifted man who intrigues her. Tayte decides to get to know him better, teach him to read and write, and encourage his art.

Perplexed at Adam’s hostile reaction to the news of their first encounter, Tayte resolves to continue the intriguing relationship in secret. But as the two grow closer, Tayte realises there is more to Boy- and his past- than either of them know.  As Tayte digs deeper onto the mysterious history of Brynleith, she makes shocking and heartbreaking discoveries that will change her life, and Boy’s, for ever.

Can Tayte uncover a dark past in time to build a beautiful future?

A tragic history.    A man drowning in despair.

War correspondent Daniel Matheson believes he’s okay. After horrendous experiences as a captive, and unaware of his debilitating P.T.S.D., the twenty-four-year-old travels across the world to New Zealand to fulfil a personal mission.

Drawn to Brynleith by the paintings of renowned artist Boy Leith, Daniel is soon captivated by the entire charismatic family. Desperate to stay at a place he feels a sense of peace, he jumps at the opportunity of a working holiday there.

Falling quickly for the family’s headstrong daughter, Daniel is shocked when her flirtatious advances trigger the ghosts of the past he desperately fled. And when his latent self-loathing combines with the demons of the torture he endured, he realises he must make peace with himself to be worthy of any love between them.

When long-suppressed secrets resurface, both Daniel and Boy must confront their past-or risk losing everything they love.

Irresistible lures. Forbidden passions. When past and present collide, will anyone’s future be left unchanged?

Georgia Matheson should be walking on air. But when three prisoners arrive to learn work skills before their release, the blissfully married woman isn’t prepared for how a stoic man classified as a sociopath captures her imagination. And when she interviews him for her degree in Criminal Behaviour, their electrifying connection and her boredom with idyllic happiness pushes her to tempt fate.

Entranced by the handsome convict, Georgia finds every excuse to continue their liaisons… until she provokes a startling reaction that results in devastating consequences.

Meanwhile middle- aged divorcee Ora Sullivan still yearns for love although she bravely faces the fact that her disfiguring disaster  makes it a foolish thought. But when she discovers an unnerving attraction to one of the work gang criminals her dreams reignite.

With intense desires swirling throughout Brynleith, will anyone emerge unscathed?

As new and old secrets surface, the lives of the entire Leith clan will never be the same again.
